An unmissable highlight of this beautiful landscape: the Vlietmolen!
The Vlietmolen is a seesaw mill located on the Zederikkade in Lexmond, in the municipality of Vijfheerenlanden. This mill was built with the aim of draining the Lakerveld polder. He carried out this task in collaboration with the Bonkmolen, the disappeared Lekkersche Molen and the also disappeared "Rode of Overtogtmolen".
The Vliet mill ceased its activities in 1986. The last miller, Jan van Wijk, was employed by the polder and has maintained this responsibility for more than 60 years.
