Our hike started in Monte Café. There you can also visit the coffee museum.
We stay on a forest path for almost the entire hike (except for our steep and slippery descent (shortcut) behind "Novo Destino".
The path offers little that is spectacular apart from quite interesting insights into the agricultural economy of the region, which is characterized by sustainable cultivation methods. The village of Novo Destino should play a pioneering role in this.

The waterfalls at the end of the trail are all the more spectacular! You can see the first one on the right. If you also want to see the other 2 to 3 (depending on the amount of water) you have to go down the river bank and continue up the river on the left. You have to be able to climb a bit and take your time because the rocks are very slippery.

On the way back we skipped the shortcut and walked the entire forest path, past the "Formosa" settlement.

    Extra equipment:
    - Water shoes with non-slip soles!!!
