The Joachimsturm, near the village moat, is the only round tower of the northern fortification wall in Frickenhausen am Main that is still completely preserved.
The tower used to be inhabited by a man with a red beard named Peter. Therefore, the tower was also known as the Red Peter Tower.
The expanded tower of the local fortifications with a conical roof dates from the 15th/16th centuries. Century. Access is via an external covered wooden staircase.
