Magnus Lund (1831-1902) was a prominent public figure: ironmonger, district chief, member of parliament and a major benefactor for the beautification of Strängnäs.
It was Lund's donated money that largely paid for the construction and tree planting in Långbergsparken. Lund had probably been a major instigator of the Kungstorns project.
