This park is managed by the Flemish Community. Vordenstein has a beautiful
orangery garden containing a utility garden with edible, medicinal and other useful plants. Numerous azaleas and rhododendrons bloom in May and June. In Vordenstein, too, the overly proliferating rhododendron is being curbed. The rhododendrons are displacing native plants that are indispensable as food for deer and as the basis for a healthy forest. Of course, they ensure that enough beautiful specimens remain for a color spectacle in the spring. The park also has an extensive collection of remarkable and rare trees.
