The chapel of Sant Joan de la Muntanya has been documented since 1067. Romanesque in style, it has a single barrel-vaulted nave, which was later replaced by wooden trusses. Of the Romanesque work, only the head remains, with a semicircular apse decorated with Lombard-type arcuations from Less.
This chapel is located on a cliff, under the Turó de Sant Joan, with excellent views of the Pontons stream and the Penedès plain.
