Christmas Valley is the first trail town close to the Oregon Desert Trail if you hike from West to East. The small town has two restaurants, some grocery stores – like Sagewood Grocery where you can fully resupply – and a hardware store that has canister fuel. There are two places where you can spend the night: the Desert Motel Inn has rooms with WiFi, fridge and some with kitchenette (541-576-2262), the Lakeside Motel & RV Park rents cabins with fridge and microwave and has tent sites as well as WiFi and showers at the RV park (541-576-2309).
