Dohna - second oldest town in Saxony & gateway to the Eastern Ore Mountains. The old town with its market square still conveys peasant flair and offers a number of sights.
Worth mentioning here is the St. Marienkirche, a late Gothic three-aisled hall church from 1489.
The butcher's fountain on Dohna's market square, consecrated in 1912, is a reminder of the once powerful butchers' guild in Dohna.
On the market square, the Saxon Post Distance Column (1713) is reminiscent of the days of mail coaches and the Saxon Quarter Milestone No. 7 of the old Dresden-Teplitz Post Road from 1732 on Reppchenstrasse.
