the bridge over to the island of Vir; I would advise racing cyclists in particular to cross the bridge on the road and not on the narrow strip next to the railing (speak from experience);)

The footpath and cycle path over the bridge is very narrow. Your own bike just barely fits on the path. If there is oncoming traffic, you would have to move out of the way onto the busy road.
