This trailhead is your gateway into the Mormon Mountains Wilderness. Follow a wash that was once the Hackberry Springs Road. There are some ancient petroglyphs and pictrograms at the beginning of the trail. The further you get into the canyons you will find remains of former mining activities and finally Hackberry Springs – a seasonal spring that might be dry in fall.
