Locals (especially weekends) usually can be seen gathered around the spring to top up their bottles to carry home. Local cyclists name this spring Evian; named after the French natural spring water. It is also the highest point (on road) along the Jalan Sungai Tua (translated into Old River Road). The next hamlet to the north is Ulu (or Hulu) Yam circa 10-11km away while Batu Cave is about 16-17km on the south side). Great road conditions on both sides of the descent.
