The Scaletta of Via Becarino da Pratta is located next to the Lantro fountain and together with the Scaletta di San Lorenzo constitutes a small shortcut to avoid the hairpin bends that rise along the Via San Lorenzo.
The actual ladder is spread over 15 steps, but the passage in its entirety is very beautiful with a walkway gallery suspended above and a gallery on a cobbled background.

The name of the passage with Scaletta is dedicated to corporal Becarino or Becharino or Becherino da Pratta who with a heroic gesture foiled the assault of the "Brembillesi" in the year 1437.
