The (or: the) Velmerstot is the northernmost and highest mountain of the Eggegebirge in North Rhine-Westphalia. It possesses the two summits Prussian Velmerstot (south summit, about 464 m above sea level NHN), whose summit rises in the area of Steinheim-Sandebeck in the circle Höxter, as well as the Lippische Velmerstot (⊙; Nordkuppe, 441.4 m), in the Area of Horn-Bad Meinberg is located in the district of Lippe. The entire mountain belongs to the nature park Teutoburger Wald / Eggegebirge. On the Prussian Velmerstot is the Eggeturm (observation tower); on the Lippischen Velmerstot with heathland are rugged sandstone rocks.
