A nice "Lostplace". Hidden in the chamber forest near Duppach are the remains of the Adenauervilla (600 square meters of living space with atomic bomb-proof cellar and a helicopter landing pad on the roof + 2000 square meters of land), which was completed only to the shell. It was planned as a hunting and guest house for the then Chancellor Konrat Adenauer. In the fall of 1955, the then AEG board had the house built by the Adenauer subsidiary Lotte Multhaupt for the chancellor. When these connections were publicly discussed in the press with the suspicion of corruption, the construction was stopped in the winter of 1955/56 and fell into oblivion for a long time. Jacques Berndorf returns to the Adenauer-Haus in his thriller "Eifel-Jagd".
