The residential and commercial building in Altensothrieth, built in 1826, is a typical four-post half-timbered structure on a plinth with a hipped roof. The residential section is covered with red hollow tiles, while the commercial section is thatched. Striking features include the story-high buttresses, red brick infill, and the entry door with a loading hatch and inscriptions on the lintel. The building combines residential and commercial functions and is preserved as a listed example of rural half-timbered architecture from the early 19th century.
