The Temple-sur-Lot commandery was built around 1260 on the edge of the Lot and an old Roman road.
From this building, 28m long and 15m wide, there remains a chapel which is still the parish church, the flat apse of which is obscured by a bell tower erected in the 19th century and the west facade of the Commander's residence.
The Hospital Commandery was added to this ensemble.
