First of all...there are two (!) old bridges in Wilsche, here an old concrete bridge, that of the so-called "Allertalbahn" from Gifhorn to Celle. In 1981, passenger services stopped here and the line was dismantled after that.
The route ran almost parallel to the "Alten Postweg" and here on the northern outskirts of Wilsche street names are still reminiscent of the railway, e.g. Am Bahndamm. Many people in Celle are also familiar with the Alte Postweg.
The Wilsche railway bridge still has the original railings, but the rails are no longer there.
In addition to the large bridge at Flettmar, this one at Wilsche is one of the even larger preserved relics from that time.

The Allertalbahn was a railway line of regional importance in Lower Saxony. It ran along the River Aller and connected Gifhorn to Verden via Celle, Schwarmstedt, Rethem and Wahnebergen.
