Hiking Highlight
This lake, swimmable in summer, is one of the small wonders of this part of the Alps, and the path that leads to it is also beautiful with forest portions of beauty!

A hike to the mountain lake Sainte-Marguerite (2210 m).
The tour starts at the parking lot Pra Paisset in Les Orres. There you will also find a signpost with several hiking destinations, u.a. also the Sainte-Marguerite. The ascent from there is about 90 minutes. Shortly after the parking lot you pass a hut. There is also a spring where you can replenish your drinking water supplies. The ascent takes place over a forest road, which is quite steep in places. Just before the lake you cross a very beautiful alpine meadow. At the lake, it is worth to stay a while to have a picnic and enjoy the beautiful mountain landscape. In the summer you can take a bath in the lake (brrrrr ...). The route on the descent is initially identical. Then it goes off to the right. The beautiful path now runs through a shady forest and takes us in several bends back to the starting point.
Personally, the route on the descent has fallen much better, so you should also consider this as an alternative for the rise. However, the car should then be parked in a parking lot in Bois Méan.

Nice walk but beware if you have a dog, keep your distance from the cows, bulls are not so fond of it
