The 12 km long Marling Waalweg is the longest Waalweg in South Tyrol. It begins at the Töll bridge and runs relatively flat along the water canal through well-paved terrain, past apple orchards, vineyards, chestnut trees and shady forests. After the medieval castle of Lebenberg, the Waalweg, laid out more than 250 years ago, leads along the mountain slightly downhill to Lana on the Etsch.
