In my opinion, the Uwaldalm is the most beautiful alpine pasture near the end of the Gsieser Tal valley. Even if the access route isn't particularly pleasant to hike, you'll be rewarded!
The waitresses are courteous, the selection of food and drinks is very good, and the prices are fair.
The highlight is the look out into Val Casies.
A visit to this alpine pasture is highly recommended after trips to the Riepenspitze, the Hochkreuz or the Black Lake!
There is also a hiking stamp!

The Uwaldalm is also definitely worth a visit in winter. It is also managed in the cold season and offers a great view of the surrounding mountains up to the Braies Dolomites.
You can easily climb the approx. 550 m up from the valley via the prepared forest path. It stretches far and wide around the mountain. This is particularly useful for those who want to toboggan back down into the valley. Important: the toboggan cannot be borrowed and must therefore be brought up with you.
There is an alternative route for those who like hiking with snowshoes. It runs quite steeply through the forest above the Pfoibach.
