The center of Ajaccio gives pride of place to tributes to Napoleon, a child of the country. There is a museum and several statues in his memory, but also a beautiful cathedral and a citadel.

Once off the ferry, you are a stone's throw from the main square and the old town of Ajaccio. All you have to do is go up the Cours Napoléon to get there.

Ajaccio is the capital of Corsica and a popular destination for Mediterranean cruises in the western Mediterranean. The small town with its approximately 70,000 inhabitants is beautifully situated on the bay of the same name in the southwest of Corsica.
At every turn you come across Napoleon Bonaparte, who was born here in 1769.
