Blowhole Beach is a sandy cove about 200 metres long, tucked into a steep valley in Deep Creek National Park, with rocky headlands at either end and a creek running across the sand. The beach is popular with surfers and fishers, and the surrounding headlands offer fantastic views across Backstairs Passage toward Kangaroo Island. While you’re here, keep an eye out for dolphins in the surf and kangaroos grazing in the grasses nearby. A strong rip usually runs here, so swimming isn’t safe, but the beach makes for a great place to rest along the trail.
