The mountain lodge at Slivnica (1075 m) stands a little below the top of Slivnica (1114 m). It was built by PD Cerknica with financial assistance from the municipality of Cerknica and opened on October 10, 1964. In 1966, it was leased to the trading company Škocjan from Rakek, and a few years later it was taken over by the tourism and catering company Postojnska jama. Now the owner of the home is once again the municipality of Cerknica, which has been renting it out since 1994.

There is a beautiful view of the Cerkniška lake, the Javornik groups, the Bloška plateau, the Kamnik-Savin Alps, Julijce, Karavanke and the Snežniške foothills.
