In the beginning plain on the slopes of the Atlas Mountains, Khettarasia are becoming more and more numerous, they are underground watercourses. A kanat is a traditional form of fresh water pumping, mostly in desert areas, to obtain drinking and service water from higher-lying regions. A canat consists of a mother well, several vertical access shafts.
