    Hiking

Lava Spring is an excellent water source that fills a surprisingly large pool of rocks. This is where a huge wall of lava rock piles up and you can camp in the shady forest. Be aware that you need a wilderness permit to camp in the Mount Adams wilderness. If you camp just before the entry sign, you will be fine without it.
