The Haftelhof, situated on a hill above Schweighofen and Oberotterbach, was built around 1470 as estate of the Augustinian monastery Stephansfeld near Strasbourg. Since the 17th century (and into the first half of the 20th century) Mennonites farmed the farm. After the Second World War, this management ended and the properties remain largely unused. Today, the eastern part of the Haftelhof has been restored and has been used by groups since the early 2000s for cultural events, meetings, celebrations and overnight stays.

Idyllic, almost somewhat enchanted courtyard ... in clear weather, wonderful panoramic view of the Black Forest heights.
