The church was built in 1681 in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Loreto or locally Our Lady Delorita (Kuna Pelješka).
The Neo-Renaissance bell tower on three floors, the interior of the church with five altars, the monastery was built for 40 years, today a protected cultural monument.
In addition to more than 300 votive plaques, the church has a gallery of paintings by the Franciscan Ambroz Testen and the famous Kunovljan painter Mata Celestin Medović.
