Nice road through Kedleston Park with lovely historic views. The eastmost part of the route (from the house to Kedleston Road) is one way from east to west but this can be ignored by cyclists. Great views of the National Trust Kedleston Hall. Tea shop and ice cream shop available at the Hall. Entrance to the Hall and the gardens needs a fee or NT membership but the park can be visited for free.

Cycling

Beware of random closures of the whole park for certain days in winter - for shooting! Apparently the Hon Richard Curzon (who lives at the National Trust Kedleston Hall) is allowed to close the park and hall for his own use on a number of days per year. He chooses to sell shooting experiences to people with his "personal days". The sum effect of this is that you can't use the route through the park on those days - the National Trust website gives information on which days the park is closed.
