Since the last renovations, the forest museum of Gerhagen actually consists of two parts with separate managers. The museum itself is managed by the Werkgroep Ecologie Tessenderlo (WET) and that is where you will also find the collection. However, the front part with the reception area belongs to the municipality and is also operated by it. After all, there is no longer a central tourist office in the center. In other words, you can go to the forest museum - which is more than a museum - for more information and material than about the forest and Gerhagen itself. Information is also available about the Merode area, to which Gerhagen forms a gateway.
