The legend explains that the faithful pilgrims who climbed to this hermitage at 870m, exchanged the needles they carried for those that the Virgin had on a pad. These needles had miraculous properties to propitiate weddings. If a single woman made a garment for the chosen groom, with the needle taken from the virgin, the chances of getting married increased.
