    In 1888, in Zavolochychi, on the banks of the Ptich River, not far from the two-story wooden manor house of the landowner Zhilinsky, the construction of a distillery began. Bricks for construction were purchased from nearby local manufactories. A year later, in 1889, the plant was ready for operation. “From that time until the early 2000s,” says Tamara Georgievna, “the plant worked almost non-stop. There was a period in the history of the distillery when production stopped - in troubled times after the October Revolution, from 1917 to 1919. After the creation of the state farm in Zavolochychi in early 1922, the distillery began operating at full capacity.
