The Col de Buffère is a mountain pass in the French Alps that connects at 2,427 meters above sea level, by mule tracks or footpaths, the towns and villages of the communes of Névache and Monêtier-les-Bains, in the department of High Alps.
The northern slope of the pass is crossed by the border with the commune of Névache. At 2,427 meters above sea level, it connects the Clarée valley in the north and the Guisane valley in the south, in Briançonnais, between the peaks of Grand Aréa and Tête Noire, in the southern part of the Cerces massif, in the Alps. It is located a dozen kilometers north-northwest of Briançon.
