The action of the Home Army unit under the command of Ignacy Pisarski "Maria" took place on August 12, 1944 on the route from Radom to Kozienice, near the departure from Pionki, popularly known as "Załamanek". The partisans attacked the army liaison column "Mitte" ("Center"). In the ambush, the Germans lost fifteen killed and six captured. The Home Army soldiers managed to obtain keys, ciphers and maps of the location of German units of the central front.
