Woodlands Historic Park is a mix of open grassland, river red gums and patches of native woodland just north of Melbourne. Kangaroos are common, particularly around the Back Paddock, and the higher ground around Gellibrand Hill gives you wide views across the city, bay and surrounding plains. The park also has plenty of history along the way, including scarred trees and the remains of early homesteads.
