In some chronicles it appears named as a Roman bridge, it is of one eye and masonry construction, the old stones are covered with moss and the vibrant magic that usually surrounds some places in the mountain forests. The current bridge was built by order of Philip II to move with his entourage between the Paular Monastery and the Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso.
