Oxford is one of Maryland's oldest towns, founded in 1683. It first appeared on maps in 1670. Located on the Tred Avon River, where it empties into the Choptank, the town has wonderful views over the water.
You'll find plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants to pick up supplies and refuel on a bike ride. It's also a lovely town just to lose yourself in for a while.
