As can be seen from the initials JGF in the top stone of the archway, Johann Georg Fischer had it built in 1825. The further sequence of letters SUM means: Sanctae Virgine Mariae = Holy Virgin Mary. The last interior restoration, including the sculptures, took place in 2006/2008.
