This stretch that connects Badia to the ascent of Col Plo Alt to the Gardencia Refuge area, or vice versa leads to Badia, is quite simple and short but still very steep and not advisable in wet conditions if you don't have equipment. Face it aware of your level of experience.

This stretch is called VAL VALACIA. It has an equipped path and no type of harness is necessary (the cable is used to hold on better and make it easier to hoist yourself up). I would recommend only tying children with the cord, so as to keep them focused; Don't waste space in your backpack for the harness.
The route is very beautiful, panoramic and fun on the ladders and in the parts where you have to help yourself with your hands on the rocks. Physical resistance (rather than breath) is needed since a lot of muscular effort is required to reach the ref. Gardenaccia requires another 1 and a half hours of walking. We started from Lech da Sompunt and it was a great challenge.

I STRONGLY ADVISE NOT tackling this via ferrata downhill: some passages could be difficult. Obviously it's not impossible, but go up for the first time, so as to evaluate your means.
I honestly don't understand though, why the uff. tourist advised me against it. It's a nice little frequented route.

Can also be done without a via ferrata set. Some wire rope insurance available. Quite steep and not recommended when wet.
