On the ridge of the (today Bohemian) Ore Mountains there used to be a mining area between the towns of Gottesgab (Boží Dar), mountain town of Platten (Horní Blatná) and Fruehbuss (Přebuz). a. Silver, tin and iron were mined. The tin ore bound to the Karlsbader granite, which continued to the north in the Saxon part of the Ore Mountains in the Kirchberg-Eibenstocker granite area, gained particular importance.
