Even with the Cycle-Crosser I was able to drive directly from the Lühnde to the bridge at Harsum on the branch canal. Since the bridge at Harsum is being renovated, I drove through the forest to the next bridge at the "Kuckuck" restaurant and was able to cycle to the port in Hildesheim again on the branch canal.
