View of Neuer See and Bärensee

You can take a lovely walk around the waterfront promenade and watch the water birds. This is a pure idyll in a man-made natural paradise.

From the dam that separates the two lakes, you can see the Bärensee to the north and the Neuer See to the south. The Bärensee is currently being pumped dry for maintenance work. A different view! The Neuer See also currently has very little water.
Press release from May 22, 2024: The Bärensee will remain without water this year too. That was the case last year, but the city had promised that the lake would be refilled this spring. But now it's official: The lake will remain empty this year too. The work on the dam and the outlet is more difficult than expected and is taking longer!

Very nice local recreation area and replacement water supply from Stuttgart and at Bärenschlösschen you can take a break.
