It is at the confluence of four ravines, the Fou ravine (or Sénia river), the Teulatí ravine, the Tenalla ravine and the Pobla ravine (or green river). It supplies water to the irrigation communities of Ulldecona, Sénia, Sant Rafel and Rossell. It was built during the sixties, financed by the farmers of Ulldecona, a fact that gives it its name; it occupies an extension of 817 ha and has a capacity of 11 hm3. It has a gravity rush, which is 54 m high and 180 m wide. This reservoir belongs to the Xúquer Hydrographic Confederation.
There is a track in a northerly direction that runs along the western edge in its entirety and then forks to go to La Tenalla to the west or La Fou to the east.
