Cycling
There's a small section (couple of hundred metres) where the sand is too deep to ride but the rest is surprisingly rideable, good option out after the stepping stones that avoids the busier roads and joins onto more gravel through the woods.

The sand appears to have been replenished in areas - approx half a mile unrideable, expect hike a bike and soft sand up to your ankles!
