The first loch on the Caledonain Canal out of Inverness, Dochgarroch is a picturesque spot with moored boats, scattered houses and a backdrop of tree-covered hills. The An Talla (Gathering Place) cafe/restaurant is a nice place to stop for refreshments.

I love locks - I love the hustle and bustle at locks...
This is also the case here at the lock in front of the large lake.
