Location: Judenbach, Landkreis Sonneberg, Thuringia, Germany
- About 30 meters of the original 750 meter long concrete wall between Welitsch in the west and Heinersdorf in the east are still preserved
- the memorial, opened in 1995, consists of three sections. The motor vehicle ditch running parallel to the piece of wall and a "stream barrier" erected over the Tettau river illustrate the total isolation
- a memorial stone erected after the fall of the Wall symbolizes the joy of the people over the regained freedom
- Comprehensive documentation is housed in a wooden barracks that served as a clearance building for the Heinersdorf-Welitsch border crossing between November 1989 and June 1990. The exhibition begins with a comparison of the two German dictatorships of the 20th century
