Cabinovia is the name of the cable car that leads to the highest peak of Elba, Monte Capanne (1018 mt.). Within 18 minutes you float - standing in a yellow mesh basket - (almost) up to the summit. Looks quite adventurous, but has run accident-free since its completion in 1963. In 2005 the Cabinovia was completely renewed. The valley station is on the road to Poggio, half a kilometer after leaving Marciana. The mountain station is a little below the summit, so there are still a few meters to walk. Next to the mountain station is a bar with a viewing terrace.
