VINIAN LAKE
In addition to Zemplínská Šírava, there is also the eight-hectare Vinianske Lake near Kaluza. It is located about 2 km northeast of the village of Vinné and was created by damming up the valley between Šutová (319 m above sea level) and Marečková (401 m above sea level). The lake is a popular tourist spot with many hotels, vacation homes, and opportunities for swimming, boating, hiking, and biking. It can be reached by a road from the village of Vinné that goes around the entire lake, as well as by hiking trails.
