Hiking
A very narrow fjord with steep mountain slopes and, depending on the season, with insanely high waterfalls all around.
In the Viking village of Njardarheimr, the inhabitants of Gudvangen dress up as Vikings during the summer months. Everyone is very nice and will answer any question. You can also compete in ax throwing or archery.
The Viking village or Gudvangen can be reached from Flåm by bus or ferry.

Alternatively, you can explore the area on foot or by bike. Flåm Little Church is about 3 km from the train station.
Brekkefossen is also about 2 km from the train station.
You can easily get to Gudvangen by bus or ferry. The Viking village of Njardarheimr is beautifully situated between high mountains and waterfalls. Very impressive.
