    The church was built 1899-1901 by master mason W. Gluud for DKK 9,600. At first it was called Langø Chapel.
    Before this time, the inhabitants of Langø had a long and difficult way to the church in Kappel , and the local parish priest Hakon Viktor Graa became aware of this. He started a fundraiser for a chapel in the fishing town and a committee was formed to move ahead with the plans. In April 1900, the chapel was approved by the Ministry of Church Affairs, and in late summer construction began, which was officially inaugurated by the bishop on 15 September.
    In 1949, Langø Chapel became Langø Church.
    The church is made of red brick and has a flat ceiling.
    The altarpiece is a copy of Carl Bloch's 'Jesus in Gethsemane'.
