From the lake you can go back to Muottas Muragl. Another option would be via the Schafberg and the Chamana Segantini down to Alp Laguard and then, which is easy on the knees, take the chairlift to Pontresina. However, caution is advised when descending, as it is very exposed in places and is only recommended for sure-footed and experienced hikers.
